Terrorist Tips was established in 2001 by the Department of Hometown Security, to ensureĀ  that information regarding suspected terrorist activity is shared among all appropriate Intelligence Agencies.

Able Danger was a classified military initiative that used data mining techniques to identify possible terrorist threats under the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM.)

Able Danger had vital information on several of the terrorists involved in the 9/11 terroristĀ  attack, including Mohammed Atta, but was unable to share the information with the FBI, because attorneys for the Department of Defense decided that the terrorists had to be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. If the information had been passed onto the FBI, it is very likely that the events of 9/11 would never have happened.

Even if our government worked on putting forth policies which strengthened our security, rather than undermining it, there is only so much your local police department can do to protect you. The role of the police has never been to stop criminals, their job is only to investigate crime and apprehend criminals. Stopping crime is the duty of each and every citizen.

What Happens When You Submit a Terrorist Tip?

Information received on the Terrorist Tips website is shared with all appropriate intelligence agencies. As a private entity we can operate freely, impervious to liberalism and unbridled by political correctness.
